Paramount Pictures has announced that director Alan Taylor’s (Thor: The Dark World) upcoming Terminator “reset” Terminator Genisys will receive the IMAX treatment when it arrives in theaters this summer.
“We are so proud of the world we have built in Terminator Genisys and are thrilled that audiences will be able to experience the film in IMAX and IMAX 3D,” states producer David Ellison. “The IMAX experience is the most immersive film experience in the world, and I am thrilled that fans of the franchise and newcomers alike will be able to experience the film in this premium format.”

Terminator: Genisys is set for release on July 1st 2015 with Arnold Schwarzenegger leading a cast that also includes Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Courtney B. Vance (Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Byung-hun Lee (G.I.
