NACON has announced that the Steam early access release of the highly anticipated Terminator: Survivors has been delayed until 2025. Originally scheduled for release on the 24th October this year, NACON (and NACON Studio Milan) has pushed back the release date to enable the developers to create a post-apocalyptic world worthy of the Terminator franchise.
If, like me you are a fan of the franchise then you may be feeling a bit disappointed that this highly anticipated title has been delayed, however if it produces a much better game world and improved gameplay quality then it’s surely worth it.
In NACON’s recent announcement, Marco Ponte, CEO & Creative Director of NACON Studio Milan, made the following statement: “This deferral of the game’s release was a tough decision to make, however we believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator meets the expected level of quality. On behalf of the NACON Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all the players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you. Thank you all for support… We’ll be back.”
Terminator: Survivors is an open world survival game that takes place in the post-apocalyptic Terminator universe. Players will follow an original story where they will lead a group of Judgement Day survivors through a multitude of deadly hazards, including Skynet’s killing machines and other rival human factions that will fight for the same valuable resources of food and water.
