As we approach the final two weeks of our crowdfunder for The Baby in the Basket, we just wanted to provide Flickering Myth readers with a quick update on our campaign, as well as unveiling some brand new artwork for our gothic horror feature which we’re hoping to be giving away to all backers by the campaign end.
Before we get to that, Flickering Myth and Shepka Productions would like welcome fellow UK pop culture site Nerdly to Team Basket. Nerdly will be working with us to bring you guys exclusive content and coverage on The Baby in the Basket as we head towards production and beyond, and we’re really excited to be working alongside the team at Nerdly to help bring our movie to the widest audience possible.
We’d also like to take a moment to thank Kickstarter for bestowing ‘Project We Love’ status upon our campaign, something we’d never have achieved without the gracious support of our backers. And so that brings us to our stretch goal perk…
Okay, so we’ve not quite hit 100% just yet, so maybe it’s a little early to be talking stretch goals. Only our goal isn’t to hit any additional monetary target, it’s simply to give our supporters the very best deal we can. At the moment, even a £10 pledge gives you a digital copy of the film, the original musical score, the screenplay, earlier trailer access AND a social media blessing from the crew. But we want to give you MORE.
Above, you’ll find our latest artwork for The Baby in the Basket, and we want to give EVERY SINGLE BACKER their very own PERSONALISED high resolution, print-ready exclusive edition of said poster, regardless of pledge value. The catch? We’d really like to hit 175 backers in total… and so we need the help of our backers once more.
We don’t want any more money from you (unless you’re eyeing some higher level perks, or there’s a hole just burning in your pocket), but we’d like you to tell your friends, tell all your friends (and family, work colleagues, online pals, random strangers et al) about us and our campaign, and once we hit that magical 175 backer number (and our target), the exclusive personalised poster perk will unlock for all backers and will be delivered by the time we wrap filming in October.
And finally, in closing, we’d again like to express our thanks to everyone who has supported us with The Baby in the Basket, whether financially, or through engaging with and sharing our content. We’re almost 3/4 of the way through the funder now and we’re actually still in with a chance of succeeding! To have made it this far is incredible, and hopefully in a few months from now we’ll have the opportunity to repay the faith you’ve shown in us.
