The Big Bang Theory has named a new showrunner for its eleventh season.
As a result of Steven Molaro moving across to the show’s spinoff, Young Sheldon, a new showrunner has been hired for the series’ upcoming season of television.
Long time executive producer and writer on The Big Bang Theory Steve Holland has joined as the comedy’s showrunner, according to Variety.
Working closely with executive producers Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, Holland will take over the writers’ room. Molaro is still producing on Big Bang but is transitioning over to Young Sheldon, taking his place at the head of that show’s writer’s room.
Holland joined The Big Bang Theory back in 2009 for season 3, becoming one of the show’s executive producers in 2016. He has spent most of his career as a part of the series’ staff.
The Big Bang Theory season 11 premieres on Monday, September 25th.
