Get ready for a Supernatural reunion as Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins are set to join their co-star Jensen Ackles in the fifth and final season of The Boys.
The Boys is adapted from the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic series which was developed for Amazon Studios by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. Kripke has teased getting Padalecki involved in the final season of the show months ago, but it is only now confirmed to be finalized alongside Collins’ involvement. Ackles, meanwhile, joined the series in its third season as Soldier Boy.
The trio starred in The CW’s Supernatural with Ackles and Padalecki headlining the series for all of its 15 seasons while Collins joined the cast in its fourth season as the angel Castiel, aiding Sam and Dean Winchester in their mission to protect the world from every supernatural entity that exists. The trio revealed the news in an Instagram video, first teasing a possible Supernatural continuation before confirming it is for The Boys.
