HBO Max has given the greenlight to The Prince, a new satirical animated series from Family Guy writer Gary Janetti, which will explore the lives of the British Royal Family from the perspective of the young Prince George.
As revealed by EW, the series is inspired by Janetti’s Instagram postings where he provides imagined commentary from Prince George on all of the news concerning the monarchy, which in recent weeks has included Prince Andrew’s indiscretions and the whole Megxit hullabaloo.
Janetti will lend his voice to George, with Iwan Rheon as Prince William, Lucy Punch as Kate Middleton, Orlando Bloom as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad as Meghan Markle, Frances De La Tour as Queen Elizabeth, Tom Hollander and Prince Philip and Prince Charles, and Alan Cumming as Prince George’s butler Owen.
