It looks like Relativity’s long-planned remake of The Crow will finally start production in January (well, until the project hits another snag, anyway).
According to The Wrap, Relativity is now set to move forward on the film, with director Corin Hardy (The Hallows) having last month secured the services of Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) for the lead role of Eric Draven.
Filming will reportedly get underway once Momoa wraps Justice League, where he’s playing the character of Aquaman. He’ll also be reprising the role for the James Wan-headlined solo movie, which will also shoot at some point next year.
Relativity has spent several years developing its new take on James O’Barr’s cult comic book, which was previously brought to the screen in 1994, with Brandon Lee portraying Draven in what was sadly his final performance, having been killed during an on-set accident.
