The CW’s Gotham Knights casts Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown

March 31, 2022 by Gary Collinson

All American and Doom Patrol actress Anna Lore has joined the cast of The CW’s new DC pilot Gotham Knights, where she will portray the character of Stephanie Brown (a.k.a. Batgirl/Robin/Spoiler).

The potential series picks up in the wake of Batman’s murder as the Dark Knight’s adopted son teams up with the children of his enemies to clear their names after they are framed for the killing. The character description for Lore’s Stephanie Brown reads:

With sarcasm matched only by her intellect, Stephanie was raised on a steady diet of brain teasers and puzzles. She’s honed her skills to become a formidable coder. But her greatest talent might be hiding a less-than-perfect home life.

The Gotham Knights pilot is written by Batwoman writers Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams, although it is separate from that series, where Stephanie Brown has already appeared, played by Morgan Kohan.

Lore becomes the latest addition to a cast that includes Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, and Misha Collins as Harvey Dent.

Gotham Knights will follow Bruce Wayne’s rebellious adopted son in the wake of Bruce’s murder as he’s forced to forge an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies after they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader.

As the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city becomes more dangerous than it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights.
