The cult horror smash Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey returns with a delirious new entry.
THR offered fans the first look at Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 from writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield. This will be a direct follow-up to the micro-budget British slasher, costing under $100,000 to make and earning $5.2 million in the global box office.
“Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count,” said Frake-Waterfield. “However, this time, Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!”
Per THR, the screenplay was written by Matt Leslie from a story he co-wrote with Frake-Waterfield. Simon Callow joins the cast alongside Tallulah Evans, who will lead the film. The cast includes Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin, Ryan Oliva as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as young Winnie-the-Pooh.
“Our sequel we have a substantially higher budget, so Rhys is really able to create a shocking, explosive, and gore-filled movie. I truly think people will really dig what we are creating,” said producer Scott Jeffrey.
