Despite the fact that the third movie underperformed at the box office, Variety is reporting that Nu Image and Millennium have given the go ahead to The Expendables 4, having made pre-sale distribution deals for China.
The Expendables 4 is set to shoot in 2016 for a 2017 release, although as yet there’s no word on a director or returning cast members (although we should of course expect Sylvester Stallone back, along with many of his action buddies from the first three movies).
The Expendables movies have grossed $786.1 million worldwide, although the PG-13 rated third instalment pulled in just $206.2 million
