To the surprise of many fans of the franchise, The Fate of the Furious did not have a post-credits sequence, but The Wrap has learned that one did previously exist. The stinger centered on the characters of Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, who have dynamite chemistry together and steal the show.
There are currently two insider rumors going around. The first is that Vin Diesel was “enraged” that NBC Universal shot the scene without his permission or knowledge to the point where he demanded the film be recut to remove it.
This could explain why there is tension between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, as prior to the film’s release The Rock spoke about his co-stars, stating that: “Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chickenshit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”
It was highly rumored that he was referring to Vin, which was recently reinforced by the actors being kept apart while promoting the movie.

The other rumor regarding the post credit sequence is simply that executives on the film thought that while the scene was great, it felt more like something that should be tagged on as a Blu-ray special feature rather than a post-credits sequence.
