Last month it was announced that a brand new Star Wars Holiday Special is coming to Disney+, although thankfully it isn’t a reboot of the infamous 1978 offering, but rather a brand new 45-minute LEGO special.
Well, you can now mark your calendar, as Disney has announced that The LEGO Star Wars Holiday special is set to premiere on the streaming service on November 17th
The LEGO Star Wars Holiday will see Rey and BB-8 on a quest to “gain a deeper knowledge of the Force, but their visit to a mysterious Jedi Temple sends them careening through time and space.”
“It’s a celebration of the saga.” said executive producer Josh Rimes. “A lot of characters will be interacting with different characters and perhaps even different versions of themselves at different ages.”
Along with Rey and BB-8, the special is set to feature a host of iconic Star Wars characters including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and Mace Windu, with a number of original stars said to be reprising their roles for the voice cast.
