The Lost Boys TV pilot casts the Frog Sisters

March 3, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Last week it was reported that The CW’s upcoming TV adaptation of the 80s classic The Lost Boys will be gender-swapping the vampire-hunting siblings Edgar and Alan Frog, and now comes word from Deadline that the pilot has cast Cheyenne Haynes (Camping) and Haley Tju (Bella and the Bulldogs) as Liza and Cassie, the Frog Sisters.

The official character description for the sisters reads: “Sharp, cool and lightly Goth, the Frog Sisters are teenage locals who work at Santa Carla’s comic-book store. Until Sam arrives, they think they’re the only ones aware of the darkness in this town.”

Meanwhile, Sarah Hay (Flesh and Bone) has been cast as Mollie, a woman turned into a vampire by David, who is the main rival for leadership of the vampire gang and travels with them and her eternally- 8-year-old son Laddie, as will as Hiram, a guardian who is there to make sure she doesn’t get into too much trouble.

The new additions join the previously announced Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) as Michael, Kiele Sanchez (Kingdom) as Lucy, Dakota Shapiro (Valley of the Boom) as David and Medalion Rahimi (Still Star-Crossed) as Stella in the pilot, which is being directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight).
