Lucasfilm has announced that executive producer Jon Favreau is set to bring The Mandalorian to Star Wars Celebration Chicago next month.
Favreau will be hosting a special panel discussion on Sunday, April 14th alongside Dave Filoni, creator of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, who is making his live-action directing debut on the new series.
Further details on the panel are being kept under wraps for now, but given that the show is expected to debut later this year on the Disney+ streaming service, it would seem highly likely that we can expect to see a trailer or some kind of behind-the-scenes sizzle reel.

In addition to The Mandalorian, there’ll also be a panel for Star Wars: Episode IX featuring director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy, along with the animated series Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the new EA video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian is expected to premiere on Disney+ in late 2019 and sees Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) leading a cast that includes Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Nick Nolte (Afflication), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Omid Abtahi (American Gods) and Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man).
