Giancarlo Esposito, one of the stars of The Mandalorian, has teased that the show could see a fourth season.
The Mandalorian on Disney+ has already proved a big hit with its much anticipated second season just around the corner.
A third season is already in the works and it sounds like plans for a fourth season are happening too. Speaking to People, Giancarlo Esposito, who plays villain Moff Gideon, has teased what is in The Mandalorian‘s future:
“We’re living in a universe that is huge and there’s so much to explore. So I think this show is going to lay the ground work for the depth and breath that’s gonna come in season 3 and season 4, where you’re really gonna start to get answers.”

Whether or not Gideon is around to see a potential season four will remain to be seen but if the reception for season two is as positive as it was for season one, a fourth instalment will surely be an inevitability.

The Mandalorian season two sees the returning Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Bill Burr (Mayfield) alongside new cast additions Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), Katee Sackhoff (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Michael Biehn (The Terminator) and WWE Superstar Sasha Banks.
Season two of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on October 30th.
