Production on the fourth instalment of The Matrix series recently came to a halt in the wake of the ongoing global health crisis, however Warner Bros. is now hopeful that filming will restart in early July.
According to Variety, the cast of Lana Wachowski’s The Matrix 4 has signed on for eight-week extensions that keeps the actors on hold until at least July 6th.
Filming on The Matrix 4 originally began in February in San Francisco before moving to Berlin in March. However, the shooting process never started in Berlin due to the halt in production. Although The Matrix 4 is currently set for release on May 21st 2021, it is currently unknown if the delay in filming will impact the 2021 release date.
