Climax
If you missed Gaspar Noe’s Climax, it’s purely due to the film’s shocking nature. This French horror musical is like many of Noe’s other films, utterly insane and a total joy to watch. After a group of hip-hop dancers accidentally ingest psychedelics, they experience a bad trip that leads to some of the most shocking scenes captures on film this year. Not for the faint of heart, Climax is a must-see for any extreme movie lover.

Minding The Gap
The year 2018 is quite the time for documentaries with Three Identical Strangers and Will You Be My Neighbor? slaying the competition. Minding The Gap should not get lost in the madness as this intense look at three young friends coming together over their love of skateboarding is so powerful. If anyone wanted an intense look at life for youth in the middle of America, this is the film for you.
Annihilation
If you missed Annihilation during its short run in the U.S. theaters or the quiet release on streaming everywhere else, it’s not your fault. The way the studio treated this masterful film is sad, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy the piece now! Director Alex Garland (Ex Machina) with his talented cast that includes Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson made one hell of a science-fiction epic. You won’t want to miss one of the year’s best in Annihilation.
