With Sam Mendes confirming that he’s now finished with the James Bond franchise, the Radio Times is reporting that The Night Manager director Susanne Bier is reportedly on the shortlist to direct Bond 25, potentially becoming the first female to take the reins of the long-running spy franchise.
Should Bier nab the director’s chair for 007’s next adventure, she could find herself reuniting with Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston, who is said to have had “advanced talks” with Eon Productions about succeeding Daniel Craig in the role.
As yet, there’s been no official word on the future of the Bond franchise, but it looks increasingly likely that Daniel Craig has called time on the role, with the actor said to have turned down a $100 million offer for two more movies.
