Yul Vázquez, one of the stars of HBO’s The Outsider, has confirmed that the Stephen King adaptation is not a limited series.
The Outsider, adapted for HBO earlier this year from a Stephen King novel, was a truly dark and horrifying affair. It seemed like the show was a one and done, however, because the first season covered the entire book.
However, star Yul Vázquez has confirmed that the show isn’t a limited series, telling ComicBook.com: “It’s not a limited series. I can’t say anything about it, but all I can tell you is that it’s not a limited series.”

This would seem to back up earlier talk that HBO was looking into a second season of the show. Whether or not anything comes to pass will remain to be seen. But with the show ending on such a creepy cliffhanger, the potential certainly seems to be there.
The Outsider follows police detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), as he sets out to investigate the mutilated body of 11-year-old Frankie Peterson found in the Georgia woods. The mysterious circumstances surrounding this horrifying crime leads Ralph, still grieving the recent death of his own son, to bring in unorthodox private investigator Holly Gibney (Cynthia Erivo), whose uncanny abilities he hopes will help explain the unexplainable.
The Outsider features a cast that includes Ben Mendelsohn, Cynthia Erivo, Jason Bateman, Bill Camp, Mare Winningham, Paddy Considine, Julianne Nicholson, Yul Vázquez, Jeremy Bobb, and Marc Menchaca.
