The second season of Netflix’s The Punisher has just cast two additional roles. The streaming service has announced that Annette O’Toole (Smallville) and Corbin Bernsen (American Gods) will star as villains in the series who will be the next to go up against Frank Castle.
Bernsen will portray Anderson Schultz, an extremely wealthy man who’s grown accustomed to getting his way. His power and legacy are of prime importance, and he’ll implement less-than-legal means to further those ends.
O’Toole has been cast as Eliza Schultz, a conniving, wealthy woman, cut from the same manipulative cloth as her husband, Anderson.
“We are delighted to have Annette and Corbin join the remarkable talent this season. Our audience will enjoy them in very unexpected but perfectly cast roles,” Jeph Loeb, executive producer and Marvel’s Head of Television, said in a statement.
“I’m very excited to have actors of this caliber and talent of Corbin and Annette joining us on Marvel’s The Punisher,” added showrunner and executive producer Steve Lightfoot.

Details on the second season’s story are scarce right now, but rumours and casting breakdowns have suggested it will adapt The Punisher arc ‘The Slavers’ or ‘Suicide Run’, or perhaps meld them together. The season is currently filming.
The second season of The Punisher will see Jon Bernthal returning as Frank Castle alongside Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Josh Stewart as John Pilgrim, Floriana Lima as Krista Dumont and Giogia Whigham as Amy Bendix.
