Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s latest animated offering The Secret Life of Pets has hit another box office milestone this weekend, with the film pushing its worldwide total to $761.6 million.
Illumination has been on a roll lately, with its previous release Minions grossing a whopping $1.159 billion worldwide last year, and Despicable Me 2 earning $970.8 million back in 2013.

The animation studio has another release set to arrive in December in the musical comedy Sing, and will follow that with Despicable Me 3 next year and The Secret Life of Pets 2 and How the Grinch Stole Christmas in 2018.
For their fifth fully-animated feature-film collaboration, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures present The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.
Comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart make their animated feature-film debuts in The Secret Life of Pets, which co-stars Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks.
