The fourth and final season of Netflix’s sci-fi comedy series The Umbrella Academy has just added some major comedic talent to its cast. Joining the Hargreeves in their final adventure will be Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and David Cross (Arrested Development).
The Umbrella Academy follows the dysfunctional family of the Hargreeves, a group of super-powered people who were adopted by an eccentric billionaire and trained from birth to be a powerful superhero team, only their many personal and familial issues keep them from saving the world in anything less than a chaotic and ill-planned manner.
Offerman and Mullally, who are married, will play married couple Drs. Gene and Jean Thibedeau, “community college professors from New Mexico who wear sensible footwear and suffer from the most extreme case of deja vu this timeline has ever seen.”
Cross will play Sy Grossman, “an upstanding, shy business owner and family man desperate to reconnect with his estranged daughter, who will stop at nothing to get her back.”
The Umbrella Academy stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castaneda, Aidan Gallagher, and Colm Feore, alongside series newcomers Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David as The Sparrow Academy.
The final season is currently filming in Toronto.
The Umbrella Academy is currently streaming on Netflix.
