Deadline is reporting that Nico Tortorella (Younger) has been cast in a lead role in AMC’s as-yet-untitled new Walking Dead spinoff, where he will portray the character of Felix, described as “an honorable man of his word who isn’t afraid to fight for others’ safety and acceptance.”
Filming is now underway on the spinoff, with Tortorella joining the previously announced Alexa Mansour (Unfriended: Dark Web), Nicolas Cantu (The Good Place), Aliyah Royale (The Red Line) and Hal Cumpston (Bilched).

Created by Scott Gimple and Matt Negrete, the show will “focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.”
The new series is slated to premiere on AMC at some point in 2020.
