Unless you’ve been residing under a rock these past few days, you’ll be all too aware that the San Diego Comic-Con has been taking place across the Pond, bringing us a host of superhero goodies. Both DC Films and Marvel Studios had big plans for Hall H on Saturday, and both delivered plenty of treats for fans in attendance, as well as us at home. So much so in fact that this is an abridged version of The Week in Spandex, as A) it would take me a week to write it, and B) after churning out a couple of hundred posts over the past few days, I really need my bed. DC EXTENDED UNIVERSE
Warner Bros. big DC Films panel kicked things off in Hall H on Saturday, with the studio offering up trailers for Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman, both of which were expected. What wasn’t expected however was the surprise trailer for Justice League, while Ben Affleck was officially confirmed as director of the Batman solo movie! You can watch the DC Films panel here.

After the big DC panel, Marvel had to pull of something pretty spectacular, and it did just that, showcasing Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Black Panther, as well as introducing Room star Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and showing off their new logo and opening fanfare.
