Sex sells in new trailer for HBO’s The Idol starring Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd

HBO Max has released a new teaser trailer for The Idol, the upcoming drama from Sam Levinson (Euphoria) and The Weeknd, which reveals the cast of the series which follows a rising pop star (Lily-Rose Depp) and a leader of a modern-day cult (The Weeknd) as they start a complicated relationship; watch it below…

A self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult enters a complicated relationship with a rising pop idol. From the sick and twisted minds of Sam Levinson and The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, who stars alongside Lily-Rose Depp, comes The Idol.

The Idol features a cast that includes Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Lily-Rose Depp, Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Dan Levy, Jennie Ruby Jane, Eli Roth, Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Mike Dean, Ramsey, and Hank Azaria. 

The Idol is coming soon to HBO Max.
