Actor and director Taika Waititi has confirmed that filming on the fourth instalment in the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder, will begin this summer after he has finished production on his latest film, Next Goal Wins.
In a recent interview with Variety, Waititi discussed when the Phase Four film will begin shooting and if the Australian wildfires will affect production.
“Well, we move down to Sydney around April, I think, maybe. And then we’ll start shooting probably around August, I think,” Waititi shared.
When the director was asked if the disastrous wildfires in Australia would halt production, he continued by stating:
“I mean, I don’t know. It’s insane what’s happening down there. I just keep reading about it every day and it seems to be getting worse. It’s absolute chaos.”
