Back in August it was announced that Wes Anderson’s next project will be a musical set in post-World War II France in the late 1940s, and now comes word from The Playlist that Suspiria star Tilda Swinton has become the first addition to the cast of the as-yet-untitled film.
Along with Swinton, rumours are circulating that Anderson is also looking to cast Brad Pitt and Lea Seydoux in the movie, as well as Natalie Portman, who appeared in 2007’s The Darjeeling Limited and the accompanying short film/prologue Hotel Chevalier. Presumably, it will also feature a number of Anderson’s many of his regular collaborators, which includes the likes of Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, Jeff Golblum and Bill Murray.
Anderson is reportedly looking to start production on the untitled musical late this year, so expect more official casting news on the project in the coming weeks.
