With production finally underway on Noah Hawley’s highly anticipated Alien Series, there has been a new addition to the crew in the shape of Mandalorian star Timothy Olyphant.
Deadline reports that Olyphant will star opposite Sydney Chandler (Don’t Worry Darling) in Hawley‘s prequel series, which is being executive produced by Ridley Scott, and is rumoured to take place on Earth years prior to Ellen Ripley’s story in the 1979 classic.
While details on the series are as secretive as Carter Burke on LV-426, the story claims that Olyphant will play a character named Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Chandler’s Wendy, who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.
The Justified actor joins Alex Lawther (The End of the F…ing World) as a soldier named CJ, Samuel Blenkin (The Witcher: Blood Origin) as Boy Kavalier, a CEO, alongside Essie Davis (The Babadook) as Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gourav (The White Tiger) as Slightly and Kit Young (Shadow and Bone) as Tootles.
