With actors like Paul Walter Hauser and Brad Pitt circling Quentin Tarantino’s final film, all the big names want to be a part of this momentous moment.
The Movie Critic is reportedly the final outing for Tarantino as a director, and now there are reports he’s going to work with an actor he’s never collab with before. In a report from The InSneider, we learn Tom Cruise is in talks to have a small role or cameo appearance in the film.
While Cruise will need to work around production on the eighth Mission: Impossible film, he’s said to be reworking some things to make time for Tarantino’s The Movie Critic. The pair have met before, with the legendary director saying of Cruise: “He’s a great guy, and we really hit it off.”
Tarantino is keeping things under wraps for The Movie Critic, but what we do know is that it will take place in 1977 California. As he told a Directors’ Fortnight Cannes panel in 2023, the film “is based on a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.”
