Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams spotted in Venom set video, new character rumours surface

January 27, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this month we got our first official look at Sony’s Venom movie with an image of Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, and now a new set video has surfaced showing Hardy on set with Michelle Williams, who is thought to be portraying Anne Weying, the ex-wife of Eddie Brock (and who may or may not be taking on the She-Venom persona in the movie).

Meanwhile, in other Venom news, the folks at MCU Exchange are claiming to have uncovered details as to the characters being portrayed by Scott Haze and Jenny Slate.

According to the site, Haze is playing Roland Treece, the founder of Treece International, and a member of the board of directors at the Life Foundation alongside Riz Ahmed’s Carlton Drake (in the Venom: Lethal Protector comic book arc, which is serving as inspiration for the movie’s story, the Life Foundation is responsible for extracting five additional symbiotes from Venom, creating the “offspring” Scream, Phage, Riot, Lasher and Agony).

As for Slate, she is said to be portraying an original character called Dora Skirth, a scientist who works for the Life Foundation.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland), Venom is set for release on October 5th 2018 and features a cast that includes Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Reid Scott and Scott Haze.
