Tom Hiddleston, who stars as Loki in the MCU, has revealed that the upcoming Disney+ TV show will be a new departure for the character.
Many fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the new MCU TV show Loki, coming to Disney+ and starring Tom Hiddleston as the titular character. But will the show be any different from how we have seen the villain before?
Well, Tom Hiddleston, in an interview with THR, explained briefly what fans can expect: “All I can tell you is that it is called Loki. It is a new departure … but I can’t explain why.”
Of course, it’s all very hush-hush at the moment but Hiddleston did go on to share his reflections on the character in general: “It is a constant source of surprise and delight that these films have connected with people. I knew he was a complex figure. Intelligent yet vulnerable. Angry and lost and broken and witty. I thought it was an amazing opportunity and it’s grown into this network of movies. I could never have expected it.”

Previous reports have suggested that Loki will see the God of Mischief popping up as “an unlikely influencer” during certain key moments in human history, while some concept art appeared to show him in the 1970s. However, we will have to wait and see exactly what the series has in store for us when it arrives on Disney+.
