Will a new era begin for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man? According to reports, we may be set to see more MCU adventures from the young Peter Parker in his own films and wider Marvel epics.
Last seen in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland has slowly become a crucial part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its tightly-woven stories. With his last appearance, Spider-Man shattered the Marvel multiverse and helped launch the new arc, later dubbed The Multiverse Saga.
With his contract up with No Way Home, multiple outlets confirm that Holland could enter a new deal and is working out the details for his future as Spider-Man. The Express, The Direct, HypeBeast, Murphy’s Multiverse, and KoiMoi.com all reported the news, saying the deal includes a new Spider-Man trilogy and at least two or three other projects.
Those other films or Disney+ series could include the two upcoming Avengers films The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. With Spider-Man playing a pivotal role in the comic book story of Secret Wars, Marvel head Kevin Feige will surely find a way to include the iconic character.
The only news we’ve had regarding the future of Spider-Man was from 2021, when Feige admitted that he and Amy Pascal had already begun developing the story for the web-slinger’s future after Pascal had teased a new trilogy of films. He also noted he’d like to see Holland’s Spider-Man and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil as the “street-level heroes” of the MCU.
