Tom Holland is teaming with the one filmmaker most dream of working with: Christopher Nolan, as news recently broke that the Spider-Man actor would appear in Nolan’s latest feature, which already has Matt Damon attached.
Little is known about the project, but the Oscar-winning man behind Oppenheimer wrote and is directing the script. Universal Pictures will also be the studio behind this new venture.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, he confirmed the news and expressed his feelings, stating: “All I can say is that I’m incredibly excited and obviously honored, but that’s all I can say because, to be honest, that’s really all I know.”
When asked how easy it was to join it, the actor said it was sight unseen. He adds, “100% yeah, without a shadow of a doubt. When it came in, the opportunity came in, it was the phone call of a lifetime – reminiscent of getting that call about Spider-Man 10 years ago like it was… it’s an amazing thing for me. I’m super proud, and uh, yeah – I’m really, really excited.”
Tom Holland has quite the slate ahead of him; the actor now has to juggle filming this Christopher Nolan project, Spider-Man 4, and a possible supporting role in Avengers: Doomsday.
The current release date is July 17, 2026.
