Last week it was announced that Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming) have been cast in Black Klansman, the upcoming film from director Spike Lee and producer Jordan Peele, and now comes word that Topher Grace (Spider-Man 3) and Corey Hawkins (24: Legacy) have also signed on to the project.
Black Klansman tells the story of Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), an African American man who was at the centre of an undercover investigation into the notorious hate group the Ku Klux Klan. Grace is set to portray a key white supremacist nemesis, while Hawkins will play civil rights activist Stokely Carmichael.
Lee is directing Black Klansman from a script he has co-written by Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz, and Kevin Willmott.. Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, QC Entertainment and Blumhouse are producing the film, which will be distributed by Focus Features.
