Coinciding with its world premiere at the Overlook Film Festival this weekend, a trailer has been released for writer-director Carter Smith’s (The Ruins) new body horror Swallowed.
The film is described as a “slimy wild queer horror nightmare of a movie” by the director and reunites him with The Ruins’ Jena Malone who stars alongside Mark Patton (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge), Cooper Koch (Power Book II: Ghost), Roe Pacheco (Bloody Pi) and newcomers Michael Shawn Curtis and Jose Colon.
Swallowed centres on two friends as they spend their final night together in their small town before one moves away to pursue his dreams in L.A., only for their bittersweet plans to take a nightmarish wrong turn. Watch the trailer here…
