Trailer for horror-thriller The Portrait starring Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Ryan Kwanten

November 3, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Saban Film has released a poster and trailer for The Portrait, the upcoming horror-thriller from director Simon Ross.

The film stars Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Sofia, a devoted wife who becomes obsessed with a portrait that resembles her husband (Ryan Kwanten) as he was before he experienced a devastating accident, but the painting soon begins to terrorise her, leading her to question if she’s losing her sanity or is something sinister is at play. Watch the trailer below…

In the wake of her husband’s devastating accident, a devoted wife becomes consumed by a mysterious portrait that resembles him in his happier days. However, as her obsession intensifies, the painting starts to unleash terror upon her life, leading her to question whether it is possessed by a malevolent force or if she is losing her sanity. Caught between the haunting unknown and her own fears, she must confront her deepest fears and unravel the unsettling truth before it’s too late.

Joining Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Ryan Kwanten in the cast are Isidora Goreshter, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Virginia Madsen.

The Portrait arrives on digital platforms on December 8th.
