Trailer for Luca Guadagnino’s Queer starring Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey

October 29, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

A24 has released a poster and trailer for Queer, the upcoming romantic drama from director Luca Guadagnino (Bones and All, Challengers) which is based on William S. Burroughs’ 1985 novel of the same name.

Set in 1950s Mexico City, the film centres on William Lee (Daniel Craig), an American Expat who develops an interest in Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey), a former soldier who has just arrived in the city.

Joining Craig and Starkey in the cast are Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman, Henrique Zaga, and Omar Apollo. Watch the trailer below…

1950. William Lee, an American expat in Mexico City, spends his days almost entirely alone, except for a few contacts with other members of the small American community. His encounter with Eugene Allerton, an expat former soldier, new to the city, shows him, for the first time, that it might be finally possible to establish an intimate connection with somebody.

Queer arrives in cinemas on November 27th.
