Team17 and developer Woodland Games will be bringing their first-person medical-horror game, Autopsy Simulator, to Playstation 5 and Xbox on 3rd April. Made in collaboration with real-life forensic doctors, this upcoming title will have players become a practice pathologist, with the bonus of dealing with a horrifying mystery. Watch the new trailer below….
With Autopsy Simulator, players become a pathologist tasked with performing autopsies on a variety of bodies, and use an assortment of medically authentic tools and procedures to discover the cause of death of each of the unfortunates. Players will be able to dissect anatomically accurate bodies, study a range of case files from crimes to uncover the mystery surrounding each death.
Included with Autopsy Simulator is the self-contained, narrative-driven psychological horror Autopsy Simulator: Dead Memories, which takes players back to 1990 to follow the story of Jack, a middle-aged pathologist who’s life begins to crumble after a personal tragedy. Players will be able to uncover a gripping and horrifying mystery as Jack battles his inner demons while carrying out his role in pathology.
Autopsy Simulator features:
- Examine gruesome anatomically detailed bodies and perform medically certified autopsy procedures.
- Study a range of case files designed by real-life forensic doctors and use them as a guide during each autopsy.
- Enjoy a self-contained story mode with simulation gameplay.
- A ‘Autopsy Only’ mode where players can learn the ins and outs of practice pathology by completing unique autopsy scenarios and unravelling the causes of death.
