January 22, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Bristol based indie developer aPrioriDigital have announced that their latest title, Aperion Cyberstorm, will be released on the Nintendo Switch, Wii-U and Steam on the 8th February.  Aperion Cyberstorm is a twin stick shooter that will see players shooting their way through hundreds of maps.  A new trailer has been released which can be seen below…

Aperion Cyberstorm offers plenty of features that will keep up to five players battling through hundreds of plasma filled bullet hell maps in three game modes.  Players will uncover a conspiracy in the game’s campaign where plenty of ships and abilities await, take on others in Versus mode and survive wave upon wave of enemies in the brutal Onslaught mode.

Other features include:

  • Campaign, Onslaught and Versus game modes.
  • Supports 1-5 player in all game modes.
  • Campaign mode with ships, abilities and elements plus several difficulty levels to unlock.
  • 16 maps in the brutal Onslaught mode with challenging enemy compositions specific to each map.
  • 16 maps in Versus, with a further 16 to unlock through play across all modes.
  • Optional AI players in Versus mode for constant five player battles.
  • Reverse controls, auto-activation of weapons and abilities, and scalable text for readability.

Jack David, co-founder and artist said, “At aPriori we find joy in making games games and we are delighted to finally be able to bring Aperion Cyberstorm to market this year. The development process has really been a case of life imitating art – as a studio we’ve enjoyed the ride and we hope gamers will enjoy their virtual ride when they get their hands on the code in February!”

Aperion Cyberstorm will be available on the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U and Steam on the 8th February with an Xbox One version coming later in the year.
