…Following on from the new trailer on Christmas Day, this week has brought more promotional material from Deadpool with a couple of Empire Magazine covers and an “infomercial” [see here], along with a couple of batches of new images from the X-Men spinoff, which will kick off the 2016 superhero season when it arrives in cinemas this February [see here and here]…
…Bryan Singer has debuted a new piece of concept art from X-Men: Apocalypse which shows Magneto demonstrating his Apocalypse-enhanced powers. “One of Apocalypse’s many powers is he can imbue other mutants with greater ones,” states Singer. “Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful…. Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before.” Meanwhile, Olivia Munn has also shared a behind-the-scenes image featuring the actress in full costume as Psylocke…
…It’s been a long while since we’ve heard anything about X-Force, Kick-Ass 2 writer-director Jeff Wadlow’s planned X-Men spinoff, but a new piece of concept art has arrived online this week, which appears to reveal a team roster of Cable, Domino, Warpath, Cannonball and a mystery female character…
…Moving on to the DC Extended Universe now and this week brought us a few new images from March’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice focussing on the Batcave and featuring Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons), while Affleck spoke briefly about Batman’s role and his place in the Justice League: “[Batman] represents human beings, mortal men. In a world of Flashes and Aquamen and Supermen, there needs to be that guy. It’s interesting that he became the leader of the Justice League in the books — I’m not sure how that’ll play out here — but his humanity is also an asset.” Meanwhile, you can also check out a batch of Batman v Superman Funko Pop! …Warner Bros. has announced that The CW will air DC Films Presents: Dawn of The Justice League on January 19th, which will take viewers behind-the-scenes of Warner’s DC slate and will include the first footage from the Wonder Woman movie, along with a brand new trailer for Suicide Squad [read the full press release here]. …The Flash returns to The CW on January 19th, and the official synopsis for the season two midseason premiere ‘Potential Energy’ has been released this week: “Now that they’ve grown closer, Barry (Grant Gustin) considers telling Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) that he is The Flash. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) try to get to know Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale), and the team hunts down a meta-human who can slow time itself…”

…DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is set to premiere on January 21st, and this week brought us a new trailer and promo for the first episode ‘Pilot, Part 1’ [see here and here], along with a detailed synopsis: “In the year 2166, the immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is on the verge of his final victory – total chaos and the utter destruction of humanity.
