He knows what his power is, but he doesn’t know how to channel it. He hasn’t accepted himself as king. He’s been running from both sides, human and Antlantean, and he’s been really that outlaw and renegade and the rebel.” Meanwhile, Momoa’s co-star Patrick Wilson has revealed that he isn’t concerned by the rumours and uncertainty surrounding the DCEU, stating that: “As they say, there are a lot of different ways to skin a cat. Or to make a movie and a franchise. I can only speak on behalf of being an actor and having a relationship with the directors. As a fan, I sit back and see the choices that they make for directors and they are very strong, focused, individual directors and that takes confidence. It easy to hire someone that is just a yes man. And they’re certainly not, which is very exciting…”

…And finally, as Hellboy gears up to go into production, new lead David Harbour has been speaking about reboot, explaining what attracted him to the project and discussing the tone they are going for: “Superhero movies are the mythos of modern America. The ancient Greeks had Agamemnon, Achilles, and Cressida, and we have Captain America, Iron Man, and Superman. They are mythos, so I wanted to be involved in that conversation. These movies have been of a certain brand. With Deadpool and Logan, they are trying to do different things. So we are trying to do our own brand of that. I was really excited by that concept — to make a real monster movie that’s dark and scary and about the end of the world.”
