…During an appearance at Brazil’s Comic Con Experience this past weekend, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice costume designer Michael Wilkinson decided to talk openly not only several aspects of the DC Extended Universe, covering topics such as The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Justice League. …Get your pinch of salt at the ready, as Latino-Review has taken a wild guess that Will Smith is keen on reprising his Suicide Squad role as Deadshot for an appearance in the still-unannounced Batman solo movie alongside Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight. Apparently, Smith’s involvement would see him taking on a “major role” in a The Good, the Bad and the Ugly-type scenario, which would also shoot down the previous “rumours” about the film being an ‘Under the Red Hood’ adaptation. Throw enough darts…
…Supergirl introduced a major DC character this week when it was revealed that Hank Henshaw is actually J’onn J’onzz a.k.a. the Martian Manhunter! Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke about the huge reveal, stating that: “It’s the thing that makes us giggle the most. “[DC Comics CCO] Geoff Johns, [executive producer] Greg Berlanti and I were saying, ‘It’s so funny we cast David because he’s got those weird ears. Like alien ears.’ I don’t remember which one of us said it, but it was like, ‘If we were ever going to make a Martian Manhunter show, David would have been the perfect Martian Manhunter.’ And Geoff said, ‘Well, why can’t he be?’ We already had it set up that Hank was keeping this bad secret, and then we started thinking about well, what if it was a good secret? While she’s adept at playing the perfect hostess and wife, all the while she’s plotting how she can lie and cheat—and even kill!—to get what she wants…”

…During a Q&A at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest, Stephen Amell was asked about the possibility of the likes of Batman and The Joker popping up in the Arrowverse, responding that: “Well, I mean, the short answer is yes, of course. Within the DC Universe, if they are in the DC Universe, if you were to ask if Iron Man could come to Arrow, I would be like, ‘Well, no, probably not.’ But of course, The Joker could come to Arrow, Batman could come to Arrow, Superman could show up on The Flash. There’s a whole myriad of options because again DC and WB have a slate of films coming up, and those films happen, and maybe Arrow’s still around when they’re done. Or maybe there’s a change and people are just like, ‘You know what, let’s invest in something that’s doing well for us.’ So you never know.” Amell was also asked who’d win in a fight between Green Arrow and Batman, replying: “Me. What do you want me to say? Well, Batman’s more experienced and his costumes cooler, and Arrow’s just a ripoff, so Batman would win for sure. No, I would win, absolutely…”
…The CW has released the official logo for Hawkman and Hawkgirl from the upcoming Arrow and The Flash spinoff DC’s Legends of Tomorrow [see here], while executive producer Marc Guggenheim has revealed that Joe Dante – director of the likes of Gremlins, The ‘Burbs and Small Soldiers – is set to helm the eighth episode of the show entitled ‘Night of the Hawk’…
…Warner Bros. Animation has released the first trailer and cover art for LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Cosmic Clash, the latest direct-to-video animated LEGO DC movie. The movie is out on March 1st, and the synopsis reads as follows: “The brilliant, hyper-obsessive-compulsive, super-computer Brainiac is combing the universe for new additions to his collection of worlds when he stumbles upon a ripe planet for his taking – Earth. But Brainiac quickly discovers Earth has a “firewall” – the Justice League. When Brainiac cleverly displaces several members of the Justice League to other time periods in Earth’s history, Batman, Flash and Cyborg must build and use the Cosmic Treadmill to race across time to retrieve their comrades – while members of the Legion of Super Heroes attempt to hold off Brainiac’s assault. Only time will tell in this battle for the fate of the Earth and the Justice League…”
