UFO sci-fi comedy Foil gets a trailer and poster

April 18, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its digital release this May, Cranked Up Films has shared a trailer and poster for director Zach Green’s sci-fi buddy comedy Foil.

The film follows friends Rex and Dexter as they realise that their plans for a desert camping trip are very different. Tensions begin to boil over when they encounter a camper who claims to have found some wreckage from a rumoured UFO crash in the area – a mysterious piece of shiny foil which leads to a series of strange events, forcing the friends to work together to get out of the desert alive. Watch the trailer below…

After opting out of their high school reunion to reconnect on a desert camping trip, Rex and Dexter realize their intentions for the weekend are at odds. Dexter, a failed filmmaker, hopes to harness a fabled vortex in the area to inspire a movie idea. Rex, a rebellious conspiracy theorist, plans to investigate a rumored UFO crash believed to explain the anomaly.

Tensions boil over when they meet an unusually friendly camper who claims to have found some wreckage from the crash: a mysterious piece of shiny foil. In over their heads, the two friends are unsure what to believe. Reconciling their past may be the only way either of them walks out of this desert with a future.

The cast includes Chris Doubek, Brian McGuire, Devin O’Rourke, Zach Green, Ari Stidham, Ashley Rae Spillers, and Jasmine Wattar.

Foil arrives on digital on May 10th.
