Ultimate Edition of Red Solstice 2: Survivors available now

Developer Ironward and 505 Games have announced the release of Red Solstice 2: Survivors Ultimate Edition on consoles.  This edition is available on Xbox One, Series X/S, PS4 and Playstation 5, and comes with all previously released DLCs, including new story lines, classes, maps and more.  Watch the new launch trailer below to see more of what’s included in this edition.

The Ultimate Edition includes the Frogsheoth Armour & Dragon in-game skins, plus over 70 additional strike missions from the DLCs.  The four DLCs that have been released are:

  • Howell-Barrex Inc – This features a new campaign story, UBAS (Universal Bipedal Armoured System), Engineer Suit and new tech tree. There are also 11 story and 5 secondary missions.
  • Condatis Group – Also features a new campaign story, Psychic Suit, platoons and 10 story and 7 secondary missions.
  • Insurgents – A new campaign story, weapon modding and new tech tree. Also includes an additional 13 story and 13 secondary missions.
  • M.E.R.C.S. – A final new campaign story, drivable vehicles, a new tech tree and 10 story and 14 secondary missions.

Finally, Players will find an additional 12 grand missions, with three per campaign. 

Red Solstice 2: Survivors takes players far into the future where they are awakened to lead a secret taskforce to fight back against the STROL mutant invasion that is taking over the planet. Players will take command of a squad, plan and use strategy throughout real time battles against the mutants. It will be essential for players to beat the mutants in combat and find a cure that will help ensure mankind’s survival.

Players will be able to choose from a selection of classes that match their playstyle, manage their resources and take to the battlefield in real-time battles.  It will be essential that players research new technologies, build up their base with strong defences and ensure their own survival.

The game supports 4 player online co-op, allowing a player to join with up to 3 friends and wield deadly weapons against the biomass that is constantly evolving.

Red Solstice 2: Survivors Ultimate Edition is available for Playstation and Xbox consoles now.
