With filming on Dexter: Resurrection now underway, Deadline has revealed that Uma Thurman has signed on for a series regular role alongside the returning Michael C. Hall in the next chapter of Showtime’s Dexter franchise.
As per the trade, Thurman is set to portray Charley, “the Head of Security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater. A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.”
Dexter: Resurrection is a follow-up to the 2021 miniseries Dexter: New Blood, and sees Hall back once more as serial killer Dexter Morgan alongside fellow returnees David Zayas (Detective Angel Batista), James Remar (Harry Morgan) and Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan). The new series enters productions hot on the heels of the premiere of the 90s-set prequel Dexter: Original Sin, which became Showtime’s most-streamed launch ever last month.
