The nominees for the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards were announced today in Los Angeles, with A24’s Uncut Gems and The Lighthouse leading the pack with five nominations apiece, followed by Amazon Studios’ Honey Boy on four.
Uncut Gems was the only one of the three to pick up a Best Feature nod – an award it will contest with A Hidden Life, Clemency, The Farewell and Marriage Story – while Booksmart, The Climb, Diane, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, The Mustang and See You Yesterday are all up for Best First Feature.
