The horror anthology series V/H/S is set for a comeback, with THR reporting that David Bruckner (The Nighthouse) has developed and written a reboot entitled V/H/S 94.
As per the trade, V/H/S 94 will be the first entry in the series to feature a single narrative, although it will be broken into linked segments from different filmmakers including Simon Barrett (The Guest), Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us) and Chloe Okuno (Slut).
Bruckner – who recently signed on to direct a Hellraiser remake – is set to produce V/H/S 94 with filmmaking collective Radio Silence (a.k.a. Ready or Not helmers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella), as well franchise co-creators Brad Miska and Tom Owen of Bloody Disgusting.
The first V/H/S was released in 2012, and featured found-footage horror shorts from Bruckner, Radio Silence, Ti West, Adam Wingard, Joe Swanberg and Glenn McQuaid. It was followed by two sequels in V/H/S/2 and V/H/S: Viral, along with the spinoff feature Siren.
