Over fifty years on from the character’s debut under an iconic cover from co-creator Frank Frazetta, Dynamite Entertainment has announced that Frank’s grandaughter Sara Frazetta is taking on the Daughter of Drakulon as both writer and cover artist of the prestige series Vampirella: Dead Flowers, set to launch in the fall.
“It’s such an honor for me to carry on the Frazetta legacy with Vampirella,” said writer Sara Frazetta. “Now, being able to pick up that torch myself, in a small way of course, is entirely surreal. I’ve loved Vampirella since I was a little girl.”

One of Vampirella’s age-old nemeses finally gives up the ghost, and that leads her to his rural Gothic estate of Rookhaven to hear out the last will and testament. Along the way, readers will get to meet the manor’s eclectic staff, from a mysterious groundskeeper and his even more cryptic young daughter, the sinister and enigmatic Mr. Frey, and more.

Vampirella: Dead Flowers #1 will go on sale in October 2023.
