TV Line is reporting that Vanessa Hudgens (Spring Breakers, Grease Live) has signed on to appear as the lead in the upcoming DC Comics single camera comedy pilot Powerless at NBC.
Hudgens will play “Emily Locke, a claims adjuster who loves her job because she gets to help people, but who is increasingly exasperated by the disruptive antics of the various Super Heroes that proliferate in her city.”
Powerless has been created by Ben Queen (A to Z) and is described as a workplace comedy set in the DC universe, and revolves around the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company and their quest to find their own power.
