Keeping Up With the Joneses’ already-hilarious cast has just gotten a whole lot funnier. Word has it Matt Walsh and Maribeth Monroe have just joined the upcoming 2016 Greg Mottola-helmed comedy.
Keeping Up With the Joneses follows a suburban couple who become suspicious of their new extremely attractive neighbors, who they later discover to be undercover agents. According to THR, Monroe and Walsh will play one of the couples already living in the neighborhood.
Walsh and Monroe join a comically charged cast including Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, Isla Fisher and Gal Gadot. Both actors, who already have strong comedy backgrounds, will be sure to bring a nice dynamic to the set as a neighboring couple. Monroe has worked on shows ranging from Key and Peele to Modern Family, Robot Chicken to Workaholics while Walsh has worked on films like The Hangover & Hits and shows like Upright Citizens Brigade, Reno 911! and most recently HBO’s Veep.
The script for Keeping Up With the Joneses is being penned by Michael LeSieur (You, Me and Dupree) with Mattola directing. Mattola is best known for Superbad and Adventureland but he also directed 2011’s Paul, HBO’s Clear History starring Larry David and several episodes of cult favorite TV shows Arrested Development and Undeclared.
